    Pan
A pan is a rotation, the camera turning in place. A truck is a move, the camera itself traveling sideways. In a pan, the overlap of near and far objects does not change.
    Tracking
The same sideways move done alongside a walking character is tracking. Some sources use the two words to mean the same thing.
    Dolly In/Out
A dolly moves forward and back; a truck moves left and right.
